Power and Progress by Co-Directors Daron Acemoglu and Simon Johnson is one of five titles shortlisted for the Lionel Gelber Prize. The Gelber Prize is awarded annually by the University of Toronto – Munk School of Global Affairs & Public Policy to the best English-language book on international affairs. The mission of the Prize is to commend and bring attention to books that deepen public debate on significant international issues through accessible and intelligible writing.
