Joanne is a Research Fellow supporting David Autor, Daron Acemoglu, and Simon Johnson. She graduated from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen, in 2023 with a BBA in Economic Science and then earned an MA in Social Sciences from the University of Chicago with a focus on Economics. She is interested in research on labor economics, urban economics, and industrial organization. Her thesis explores how land regulations influence city growth after massive fires.
