The Wheeler Institute for Business and Development at London Business School hosted Daron Acemolgu for a presentation of his book (with Simon Johnson), Power and Progress: Our Thousand-Year Struggle Over Technology and Prosperity. This event featured discussion of how technology affects the distribution and growth of resources while being shaped by economic and social incentives, and delve into the political, economic, and social factors that contribute to the disparities in economic development and how reshaping the way we innovate can lead to a more equitable and prosperous future in the context of developing countries and beyond.
